Description:

Dorset are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join a well-structured and dynamic team,
for Early discharge and support working within hospital and community setting responding to demand across Dorset. mixture of Hybrid, Hospital and community they offer a fair and manageable caseload and further training in your portfolio. The vacancy will be for an initial 3 - 6 months with potential for extension.

Main Duties for the Occupational Therapist includes.

Assessment of service users and carers with complex needs in relation to home environment.
Experience in Moving and Handling is essentialas well as Single and double handed care knowledge.
Assess and treat patients requiring ward-based rehabilitation and assessment for discharge planning.
Working along side the Team Manager. Visits to residents homes will be required. To ensure collaboration with our partner agencies.
Experience of functional assessment experience of working with people with disabilities/vulnerable people.
Providing expert advice, and assessments for equipment and home modifications.
Recommending adaptations.
An awareness of the importance of safeguarding vulnerable people, plus an understanding of the importance of dignity & respect when dealing with people. To Be Successful.

Previous experience working as an Occupational Therapist in the community.
Experienced Adult Social Care OT required with minimum of 2 years' experience.
Previous experience working with adaptations.
Specialising in Single handed care/ complex moving and handling.
Manual handling experience.
HCPC Registration.
Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you).
Eligibility to work in the UK.
Full UK driving License.
Have all immunisations.
Occupational Therapist Qualification.Benefits of Working with Dorset.
