Nurse Manager CYP | Surgical | Permanent | Full time | Spire Shawfair Park Hospital, Edinburgh

Spire Shawfair Park is now recruiting a Nurse Manager to lead their CYP Department.

Duties and responsibilities

To lead provision of exemplary planned care for patients aged from birth to 16 years
Lead specialist in all clinical areas providing specialist education and audit.
To ensure the teams delivery of effective care by providing excellent clinical and managerial leadership.
Develops a working environment and culture that actively improves health, safety, security and safeguards the welfare of children and young persons
Develop and improve services
Improve quality
Support and enable equality, diversity and rights.
Lead others in the development of knowledge, ideas and work practices.
Delegate work to others.
Determine the effective use of efficient use of physical and financial resources.
Undertake Human Resource activities for all members of the team.
Plan, monitor and quality assure the application of technology for measurement, monitoring and treatment.

Who we're looking for

Be NMC registered Nurse with a Children's qualification - your pin should not have any restrictions or conditions
Experience of working at clinical leadership/management level within a paediatric department.
Have the ability to create and maintain relationships with a variety of clinical and non-clinical staff
Flexibility is essential for this opportunity to support the needs of the growing service covering inpatients and outpatients
It would be desirable to have phlebotomy and paediatric ILS, or be willing to complete a a university course
Ability to plan and prioritise care for patients with good time management skills.
A surgical background is highly desirable.
Appropriate proven leadership and management experience.
The ability to manage change enthusiastically whilst assisting to lead, manage and develop the CYP serviceBenefits
