Nursery Teaching Assistant
Salary: £80 – £95 per day
Location: Ashington, Northumberland
Start Date: ASAP
GSL Education’s Newcastle branch are in alliance with a lively and nurturing Primary school located in Ashington. This school is highly committed to fostering young minds and cultivating a love for learning within a supportive and inclusive setting, and are currently seeking to appoint Teaching Assistants to join their Nursery class on a full-time basis, starting immediately.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the class teacher in creating and delivering engaging and effective lessons.
Aid in the preparation of classroom materials and resources.
Provide individualized and small group support to students.
Promote a positive and inclusive atmosphere conducive to learning.
Assist in assessing and recording students' progress.
Oversee and engage with children during breaks and activities.
Encourage positive behaviour and support students' social and emotional development.
Essential Requirements:
Experience working with young children, ideally in a Nursery setting.
A strong passion for early childhood education.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively as a team member.
A patient, nurturing, and proactive demeanour.
Relevant qualifications or certifications in childcare or education (preferred but not mandatory).
Own a child workforce DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to have one processed immediately.
Valid career and/or academic history, covering last ten years fully.
