Teacher Active are proud to be working with a mainstream school situated in the heart of the Neath where the school play an active role in the community. The school promote a caring and nurturing environment and provide a warm welcome to parents and visitors. The Head Teacher promotes a collaborative approach, and actively encourages parents to be co-educators of their child.
The school has created an active curriculum, giving the children the widest possible range of experiences to foster a love of learning.
The school are looking for a Teaching Assistant to start after half term until the end of the academic year. The successful candidate will be working five days a week in a Nursery class. Supervising and providing particular support for pupils, including those with special needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities. Encouraging the pupils to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher.
TeacherActive are looking to appoint an exceptional candidate who:
Will have relevant experience of working with children (minimum of 6 months
Level 2 or 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in schools
Will be required to work under the direction of the class teacher and liaise with other professionals both within and outside the school
Will be responsible for working with an individual pupil and small groups
Will be expected to show a high degree of initiative and be able to react to given solutions with integrity and compassion
Has the ability to encourage every child to learn and achieve and has enthusiasm, skill and desire to make a difference
Has a passion to ensure high expectations for all ensuring that they make outstanding progress
Can plan, prepare and promote constructive play during the lunchtime period
