Are you a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner who enjoys supporting children's development through play?
Are you looking for flexible nursery work that fits around your lifestyle while allowing you to explore different Early Years settings?
TeacherActive is proud to be working with a range of welcoming nurseries and Early Years settings across EX16, Tiverton and surrounding areas of Devon.
We are currently recruiting Level 2 and Level 3 qualified Nursery Practitioners who are passionate about Early Years education and available for an immediate start.
Whether you're looking for occasional shifts, regular weekly work or longer-term opportunities, we have a variety of placements available to suit your availability.
The successful Nursery Practitioner will have:
Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare / Early Years
Previous experience working within a nursery or Early Years setting
Ability to drive and reliably commute to settings across EX16 and surrounding areas
Good knowledge of the EYFS framework
A caring, enthusiastic and positive attitude
Confidence supporting children from babies through to preschool age
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Flexibility to adapt to different nursery environments
Paediatric First Aid qualification (desirable but not essential)
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting children's learning and development through creative, play-based activities
Creating a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment
Supporting daily routines, including mealtimes, outdoor play and personal care
Encouraging children's independence, confidence and communication
Building positive relationships with children, parents and nursery staff
Following safeguarding procedures and EYFS guidelines
Working collaboratively with nursery teams to provide high-quality childcare
