This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Room Leader or an ambitious level 3 qualified Childcare Practitioner to join our clients warm and friendly nursery, proudly located within the heart of a vibrant and affluent residential area. The nursery has undergone an impressive refurbishment and features a fantastic outdoor garden where the children can play and explore sensory experiences.
Key Duties & Responsibilities for our Room Leader:
* To be a confident room leader with the ability to lead and support the team and to implement good structure and routine
* Work with colleagues to maintain a positive, happy and safe environment
* Encourage each child to develop a love for learning by inspiring them to be more inquisitive and discover their own interests resulting in curious, independent lifelong learners
* Plan, create, implement and reflect on engaging activities, tailored to each of your key children, to encourage their development towards key milestones
* Carry out observations and maintain excellent developmental and achievement records
* Build and maintain strong parent/carer relationships and work in partnership to have a positive impact on children’s development and learning experiences
* Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety and safeguarding
Essential Skills and Experience Required for our Room Leader:
* A minimum level 3 Childcare/Early Years qualification is essential for this role
* Previous experience of working in a childcare setting
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to use a variety of techniques to build trust and strong working relationships with children, colleagues and parents/carers
* A passion to make learning fun through engaging activities
* Excellent knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and wider legislative requirements
