Nursery Practitioner – Chingford, E4
Permanent | Competitive Salary | Full-Time
We are currently recruiting for a Nursery Practitioner to join a well-established day nursery and preschool in Chingford, London, E4 7RS.
The nursery is set in a restored lodge on the edge of Epping Forest and offers children a warm, nurturing environment with extensive outdoor learning opportunities, including a spacious garden and a forest-school-inspired preschool area.
The Role
As a Nursery Practitioner, you will support children’s learning, development and wellbeing in line with the EYFS, helping to create a safe, engaging and stimulating environment.
You will be responsible for:
* Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities
* Supporting children’s social, emotional and physical development
* Completing observations and developmental tracking
* Carrying out key-person responsibilities
* Supporting children with daily routines and promoting independence
* Building positive relationships with parents and carers
* Working closely with colleagues and the wider nursery team
* Maintaining high safeguarding and health and safety standards
Requirements
* Ideally hold a recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years / Childcare qualification
* Previous Early Years or nursery experience
* Good understanding of the EYFS
* Strong safeguarding knowledge
* Caring, reliable and enthusiastic approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
