Teacher Active are currently looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant in the area who will have the amazing opportunity to work with this wonderful Nursery!
We are looking for a Nursery Assistant to fill this permanent placement caring for and supporting young children and their early-stage development.
The Ideal Level 3 Nursery Assistant must have the following:
NVQ Level 3 and a minimum 6 or so month experience in an early year educational environment
A calm, nurturing and caring persona
Excellent communication skills
A good understanding of Child protection and safeguarding guidelines
A flexible, positive can-do attitude
You will:
Duties: - Assist in the daily care and supervision of children in the nursery - Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and play - Engage children in age-appropriate activities and play - Assist with feeding, diapering, and toileting as needed - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the nursery area - Communicate with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns - Follow all health and safety guidelines and procedures Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent Level 2 or 3 in child care - Previous experience working with young children preferred - Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate activities - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children - Ability to work well in a team environment
