Location: TQ12 – Newton Abbot, Torquay & Surrounding Areas
Start Date: ASAP
Pay: £14.25 – £16.00 per hour
Contract: Flexible / Day-to-Day / Short-Term / Long-Term

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a variety of welcoming nurseries and Early Years settings across TQ12, Newton Abbot, Torquay and surrounding areas.

We are currently looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Level 2 and Level 3 qualified Nursery Practitioners to join our growing team, with opportunities available for an immediate start.

Whether you're looking for occasional shifts, regular weekly work or longer-term placements, we have opportunities to suit your availability.

The successful Nursery Practitioner will have:

Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare / Early Years

Previous experience working within a nursery or Early Years setting

Ability to drive and reliably commute to nursery settings across TQ12 and surrounding areas

Good knowledge of the EYFS framework

A caring, enthusiastic and positive approach to working with children

Confidence supporting children from babies through to preschool age

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Flexibility to adapt to different nursery environments

Paediatric First Aid qualification (desirable but not essential)

Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting children's learning and development through creative, play-based activities

Creating a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment

Assisting with daily routines, including mealtimes, outdoor play and personal care

Encouraging children's independence, confidence and communication skills

Building positive relationships with children, parents and nursery teams

Following safeguarding procedures and EYFS guidelines

Working collaboratively with nursery staff to provide high-quality childcare
