Position: Nursery/Reception Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel is currently hiring on behalf of a partnership school in Newport. We are in search of dedicated Nursery and Reception Teaching Assistants who consistently demonstrate patience, enthusiasm, and proactive thinking. The role involves supporting children during their crucial early years of education, fostering a positive, nurturing, and secure environment for each child while actively participating in their educational journey.

Responsibilities of Nursery/Reception Teaching Assistant:

Collaborating with fellow Teaching Assistants in a small classroom setting to support nursery and reception pupils, promoting positive play and learning.
Support pupils with suspected ALN, providing encouragement and understanding.
Assisting children in developing numeracy and language skills through various daily activities.
Encouraging independent work while fostering social interaction and peer engagement.
Cultivating a positive, caring, and safe atmosphere to facilitate children's growth and development.
Adhering to the school's safeguarding and protection policies.
Providing assistance with personal care and managing children's needs.
Qualifications for a Successful Nursery/Reception Teaching Assistant:

Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
Possession of a Child-Only DBS certificate registered on the Update Service.
Provision of two professional references covering the past 24 months.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
