Job Description: We are looking for a dedicated Nursery Assistant to support the daily operations and care of children within our nursery in Paignton. The successful candidate will work closely with nursery staff to create a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn and develop through play.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist nursery staff in providing high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years.
Support children's learning and development through planned activities and play experiences.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the nursery, following safeguarding procedures at all times.
Help to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for children, parents, and visitors.
Assist with daily tasks such as meal times, nappy changing, and maintaining a clean and tidy environment.
Build positive relationships with children and their families, providing support and reassurance as needed.
Requirements:
Previous experience working with young children, ideally within a nursery setting.
A warm and caring nature, with a genuine passion for working with children.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with children, parents, and colleagues effectively.
A commitment to promoting the welfare and development of children.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations and basic first aid procedures.
A willingness to undergo relevant training and professional development as required.
