Description:
Reports to the Head of Operations, with a close working relationship with the NPD and Technical teams.
Overall role responsibility:
Management of the NPD Process and Manufacturing Projects.
Main tasks:
* Management of internal projects (EPD/Process/CI)
* Maintain close and effective cross-functional links between Process, Development, Technical, Operations and Continuous Improvement.
* Manage NPD and EPD development from handover to launch
* Manage all factory trials
* Attend feasibility meetings and report back on any observations
* Ensure databases are kept up to date
* Management of the maintenance of trial records – such as information for recipes, specifications and costings
* Ensure recipe workflow projects are completed in line with critical path
* Plan and manage customer pre-production visits and launches with clear plans, agendas, objectives and actions documented.
Knowledge & Skills & Qualifications:
Essential
* Previous Technical experience of FMCG food related manufacturing operation
* Proven track record of managing NPD and Manufacturing Projects
* Experience of working with customers
* Previous experience of retail stage and gate processes
Advantageous
* A degree or equivalent in food science or engineering
Person Spec
The successful candidate will ideally come from a Technical or Process role, and have experience of running projects, with multiple stakeholders. They will have an interest in continuous improvement and process.
