Salary: £23.10 per hour + overtime at £30.72 per hour
Shift: Monday-Thursday, 12-hour night shifts
Overtime: Saturday overtime available + on-call rota
Our client is a well-established logistics and transport business currently looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a predominantly night-shift position working a 4-night Monday-Thursday pattern, with additional overtime opportunities available.
The Role
Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on a range of HGVs and commercial vehicles.
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
Complete preventative maintenance and inspections.
Ensure vehicles are maintained to a high standard and remain compliant with relevant legislation.
Carry out fault finding and breakdown repairs where required.
Complete maintenance records and relevant paperwork.
Work safely and efficiently within a busy transport and logistics environment.
Participate in the on-call rota.
Saturday overtime available.Requirements
Previous experience as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Commercial Vehicle Technician.
Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
Experience working on HGVs or commercial vehicles.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Relevant HGV or commercial vehicle qualifications are desirable.
Full UK driving licence is desirable.Salary & Benefits

£30.72 per hour overtime rate.
12-hour night shifts, Monday-Thursday.
Saturday overtime available.
On-call rota with additional earning potential.
Potential future Tuesday-Thursday shift pattern currently being explored.
