Role: New Product Development Assistant
Location: Sandy, Bedfordshire
Hours: Monday to Friday 09:00-17:00
Salary: £24,000-£27,000
An excellent opportunity has now arisen for a New Product Development Assistant to join our client’s successful team in Sandy, Bedfordshire.

About the role:
This is very hands on role in which you will collaborate with the New Product Development Manager to formulate & create new products that align with company goals & customer preferences. You will write up findings using MS Word & Excel. In addition, you will assist with all day to day admin tasks including accounting support & assisting directors.
Responsibilities:
Quality Control: Conduct sensory evaluations by tasting all fresh ingredients upon arrival to maintain quality standards and Production's finished products.
Ingredient Management: Assist in sourcing ingredient samples, and keeping track of ingredient stock levels
Production Support: When needed, working closely with the production team to ensure smooth production processes, including coordinating ingredients and packaging as needed
Customer Engagement: Collaborate with the account managers to create customer product specifications and address customer inquiries about packaging requirements.
Inventory Management: Conduct regular stock checks for packaging, overruns, and ingredients to maintain accurate inventory levels
Quality Assurance: Verify the accuracy of customer labels and packaging specifications.
What we would like from you:
Proactive, can do attitude
Able to work in a lively environment with frequent distractions
Minimum GCSE level 3 in Maths
Intermediate excel skills
Ability to work as part of a small team & be able to use own initiative
Due to the location of the company you must be able to drive & have access to your own vehicle
