Manage a varied caseload of expectant parents and families with newborn babies.

Undertake high-quality assessments, planning and reviews.

Work collaboratively with parents and carers to identify strengths, needs and solutions.

Support families to overcome challenges and prevent family breakdown.

Assess and manage risk appropriately, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of babies and families.

Build positive, trusting relationships with children, parents, carers and partner agencies.

Deliver purposeful interventions that achieve sustainable positive outcomes.

Work independently while adapting your approach to complex or unusual cases.

About You

We are looking for Social Workers who:

Are qualified Social Workers and registered with Social Work England.

Have at least 3 years’ experience working directly within Local Authority Children’s Social Care.

Have strong knowledge of the diverse needs of children and families.

Have experience applying strengths-based approaches to assessment, planning and review.

Can manage cases independently and demonstrate sound professional judgement.

Have strong skills in risk assessment and risk management.

Are confident working with complex family circumstances.

Are committed to relationship-based practice and achieving positive outcomes for families.

Why Join?

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a newly established team focused on providing early, meaningful support to families during the crucial pre-birth and newborn stages.

If you are passionate about early intervention and want to make a lasting difference to babies and their families, we would love to hear from you
