Our client, a Managed Service Provider, offer a comprehensive service to their clients including IT solutions, hosted IT services, IT hardware and help desk services. They are looking to expand their business and as such, are looking for an experienced new business development manager to drive growth.
The Business Development Manager will focus on identifying new clients and opportunities, understanding clients' needs, proposing effective solutions, closing deals, and ensuring client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Research, target, and secure new clients
Comprehend client business goals and discover where value can be provided through the various services available
Act as a trusted advisor to clients
Develop and build robust relationships with key decision-makers
Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling
Negotiate terms, and successfully close deals
Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to acquire new clients and achieve revenue targets
Create and manage a robust sales pipeline
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline progress
Generate forecasts and regular reports on sales performance
Understand business issues and objectives to develop a strong value proposition for clients
Prepare and present proposals that align with client needs
Work closely with internal teams including technical teams to design solutions and ensure seamless service delivery
Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies
Identify market gaps and potential areas for expansion
Provide insights to the leadership team for strategic decision-making
Collaborate with colleagues to share insights and best practicesEssential Skills and experience:
Proven experience as a 360-business development manager, within the IT or Communications sector
Knowledge of Managed IT Services is essential
Understanding of cloud services, Microsoft 365, Cyber Essentials, and unified communications technologies
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients at all levels
Excellent IT, written, verbal, and presentation skills
Confident, self-motivated, results-driven, and customer-focused
