Network Support Engineer
IT Infrastructure Support Engineer for a manufacturing site in Larne, Northern Ireland.
Site based Mon – Thurs, WFH Friday.
£36 - £38ph FCSA Umbrella (This role is deemed inside IR35)
£25 - £28ph paye
- First point of contact for all Network related incidents, LAN/WLAN/WAN by either resolving the incident or passing on to more specialised analyst, after initial triage and information gathering
- Work with local business unit contacts to fulfil small RITM based requests - IP scope expansions, FSZ, Switch stack expansions
- Capable of providing LAN designs for small demand based projects Windows Desktop Support experience
- Cisco experience – working with Cisco network. CCNA and/or CCNP qualifications, Alternatively, extensive experience working with Cisco switches.
- Ideally experienced with 3850 & 9300 Cisco switches
- Must be familiar with terminal emulation
- Ideally experience of doing this within a Manufacturing or Warehousing type environment (this role is not just Desktop Based, a lot of the work will be first line, first point of contact troubleshooting, then escalating to global IT Infrastructure.
