Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Network Support Engineer to join the team.

Location: London

Salary: £40,000-£50,000 + shift allowance of 17.5%

Job Type/Hours: Full-time permanent with 24/7 shift rotation

Network Support Engineer – The Role:

As a Network Support Engineer, you will support our client's network operation centre by providing technical support to their customer based on 24/7 basis. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining the stability and efficiency of our client's network infrastructure. You will help to monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure uninterrupted connectivity for our client and their customers.

Network Support Engineer – Key Responsibilities:

- Identifying and resolving network incidents

- Documenting processes and procedures

- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement solutions and prevent future issues

- Work on multiple ticket queues: incidents, changes, requests for change and service requests

- Ensure the NOC Manager is kept informed of all service affecting incidents and appropriate

- Monitor usage patterns and conduct ongoing trend analysis to track system load, usage, and responses, enabling proactive issue identification

- Conduct diagnostic analyses of applications, networks, and related systems as needed

- Deliver both on-site and remote technical support as necessary to ensure continuous monitoring

- Assist in managing disaster recovery processes, offering support during incidents as directed by the incident manager

- Adhere to all relevant legislation and codes of practice applicable to the role

Network Support Engineer – You:

- 2+ years of experience in a NOC or similar environment

- Proficiency in Cisco routers and switches preferred, with a minimum CCNA certification desirable

- Ability in troubleshooting and maintaining Firewalls and/or Security Event management systems

- Previous experience within a Linux work environment

- Previous cloud experience, AWS preferred

- Ability to prioritise own workload
