Network Specialist
+ Rate: £550 per day inside IR35
+ Contract: 6 Months +
+ Location: Hampshire (On Site 5 days)
+ Right to work: Must he sole UK Nationals due to nature of work (no dual citizens or visa's/overseas card holders are eligible)

*DV Security Clearance is required for this Network Specialist role.

I am looking for a Network Specialist for a client of mien who are a leading IT systems integrator operating within the UK defence sector, you will join their existing dynamic Solution Build Practice.

Responsibilities:

They will work closely with the Solution Owner and Architects to assist with the instantiating of design documentation, on a wide variety of network solutions, which vary in size and complexity. Working alongside a team of dedicated professionals, you will be driven to find better, faster, more effective solutions.
The Network Specialist will be part of the Delivery Team and will liaise with the current SMEs for Networking, Infrastructure, Applications and Security as required.
They will have a wealth of experience on larger or more complex solutions, demonstrating an understanding of the customers' business and commercial issues. They identify, design and deliver larger or complex solutions to meet challenging requirements.
Mandatory Skills:

Previous Juniper SRX and Fortinet FortiGate experience delivering network implementations, instantiating designs, configuring devices, prototyping, extrapolating new network implementation requirements from extant legacy infrastructure, including resilience, from new HLDs & LLDs etc.

Cisco routing (phone number removed) and 4300 series.
Cisco switching 3750, 3850 series, 9200 & 9300 series.
Demonstrable understanding of OSPF, EIGRP and BGP routing protocols, NAT, GRE Tunnelling protocol, DMVPN Tunnelling Protocol, Network Design, Subnetting & Supernetting.
Previous troubleshooting and support experience.
Provide comprehensive guidance on the development of, and modifications to, solution components to ensure that they take account of relevant architectures, strategies, policies, standards. and practices and that existing and planned solution components remain compatible
