Are you an experienced Network Security Engineer looking to take ownership of enterprise firewall platforms while shaping the long-term security architecture within a complex, multi-site environment?

This is a hands-on, technically focused role within a well-established IT Infrastructure team, where you will lead on the design, implementation, and optimisation of firewall technologies. You will play a key role in securing both IT and operational technology environments, ensuring high availability and robust network protection.

You will be responsible for day-to-day firewall operations, troubleshooting complex issues, and leading changes across production environments. Alongside this, you will collaborate closely with infrastructure, OT, and application teams to deliver secure, resilient connectivity and support ongoing projects including upgrades, migrations, and new site deployments.

The ideal candidate will bring strong enterprise firewall experience, ideally with Palo Alto, alongside a solid networking background across Cisco and Aruba environments. You will be confident working under operational pressure, managing third-party vendors, and contributing to continuous improvement of firewall policies, standards, and overall network security posture.

The Role:
Operate and maintain enterprise firewall platforms across IT and OT networks
Design and implement firewall rules, NAT, segmentation, and secure connectivity
Lead troubleshooting and act as escalation for complex network security issues
Deliver firewall and network projects including upgrades and deployments
Collaborate with internal teams and oversee third-party network changes

The Person:
Strong experience with enterprise firewalls, ideally Palo Alto
Solid networking background across routing, switching, Cisco and Aruba
Experience with NAC solutions such as Aruba ClearPass or Cisco ISE
Proven ability to manage firewall policies, VPNs, and segmentation
Experience supporting complex, multi-site or high-availability environments
Strong troubleshooting skills and operational discipline
