Network Operations Teachnical Lead / Team Leader - ICT Managed Services – Hybrid – Guildford 2x per week
£50-60K
IRC are working with a well-established, privately-owned SME in the Communications, IaaS space with an outstanding reputation for retaining, and developing their staff and delivering innovative solutions to a wide range of customers.
Due to staff movements internally, we are currently recruiting for a Network Operations Technical Lead / Team Leader. As Network Operations Team Lead, you will be ultimately responsible for managing the activities of the NOC team, ensuring the timely resolution of network incidents and customer projects whilst mentoring and helping train a small team of Network Engineers, acting as a technical point of escalation.
Role & Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the NOC team, providing guidance, direction and mentorship.
* Oversee the monitoring and management of client’s network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, servers, and other network devices.
* Be a point of technical escalation within the team to provide guidance and troubleshooting to progress customer tickets.
* Delivery of high-profile customer projects collaborating with stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time & within budget.
* Develop and maintain operational procedures, documentation, and standard operating processes.
* Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the performance and effectiveness of NOC operations, identify areas for improvement.
* Working on customer pre-sales engagement collaborating with sales, customers and vendors alike – creating solution designs
Skills & Experience Required
* Proven experience as a Network Operations Team leader
* Strong Network Engineering skills and understanding of Fortinet/Cisco and/or Juniper WAN, LAN & Security solutions.
* Have experience working in a Managed Service Environment
With flexible working arrangements you will be required to attend the Offices in Guildford twice per week, this is a great opportunity for an experienced Network Operations Manager looking for a new role where they can build on their skill set and experience technically, whilst leading a team.
