Job Title: Network Support Engineer
Location: Chester - Hybrid (3 days in office is essential)
Working Pattern: 4 days on 3 days off shifts
Contract: 12 months with possible extension.
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000
Our client, a leading organisation in the financial services sector, is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Network Operations Support professional to join their team on a fixed-term contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity to engage with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the stability and performance of their network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitoring and M Monitoring Event Management and Incident Management, ensuring timely Level 1 triage of networking issues.
Network O operational support for network environments, including switching, routing, perimeter security, traffic management, and content inspection.
Proactive Troubl advanced tools such as Splunk, SevOne, IBM Watson AI Ops, Wireshark, NetScout, and Gigamon to identify service impacts and interpret monitors, dashboards, and logs.
Incident effectively to production failures, managing triage efforts, engaging appropriate teams, and communicating with management and technical escalation.
Documentation and data quality and completeness of incident tickets, ensuring all impacts are accurately recorded in the system of record. Prepare professional documents and ad-hoc reports as directed by senior team members or leadership.
Governance and C and enforce production governance during triage and testing efforts, adhering to design standards and global authority processes.Ideal Candidate Profile:
Technical with enterprise network infrastructure, including routing, switching, wireless, and SD-WAN. Hands-on experience with Splunk for data ingestion, searches, and dashboard creation would be a big plus.
Analytical analytical skills with an attention to data quality, capable of translating raw telemetry into actionable insights for operations teams.
Communication verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with Engineering and Operations teams.
Agile Me understanding of JIRA, Confluence, and Agile frameworks, with experience in Networking-related disciplines within design, implementation, or operations roles.What Our Client Offers:
