Network Engineer (ASA, FortiNet, FortiGate, Switching, Wi-Fi, Firewalls, VLANS, Cisco, Routing, OSPF, BGP) – Permanent – Lincoln
Charles Simon Associates are currently looking for a Network Engineer on a permanent basis for our fast growing business based in Lincoln. This is the opportunity to work within a company that are going through a complete IT Transformation.
Location: Lincoln (2 days on site 3 days working from home)
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 Per Annum
Skills/requirements for the Network Engineer:
* Previous experience within a similar role
* Extensive routing and switching experience.
* Strong routing protocols including BGP and OSPF
* Extensive Firewall experience, ideally Fortinet/FortiGate, CheckPoint or ASA
* Experience of configuring, setting up and managing Network devices
* IP Telephony experience is highly desirable
Start date for the Network Engineer is ASAP
The Network Engineer will be responsible for:
* Providing support for any tickets that are raised from the Service Desk around the Network
* Ensuring technical documentation is development and maintained for all areas of networking
* Liasing with 3rd parties where necessary to provide the best service possible
* Working closely with the IT Security Team to ensure the Network and Infrastructure meets security baselines
* Assisting in the designing and documenting of Networking processes, procedures and standard across the group
* Ensuring the groups public and private Wi-Fi is supported across all sites, in order to alleviate any downtime in service
* Providing post-mortem root cause analysis for any major issues that do occur.
