We have partnered with a global biotech company in Stevenage that has created a pioneering cancer therapy. They are embarking on an exciting journey of growth, that will involve the improvement of their IT capabilities, processes and Network Infrastructure through several key hires.

The Network Architect has a real opportunity to help shape the future of technology, drive the maturity of the environment, and lead key projects.

- New site fit-outs and site expansion

Key Responsibilities:

* Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN) based on business and operational requirements.

* Configure and install network hardware, including Fortinet and FortiGate firewalls, routers, switches, and other network devices.

* Perform network maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs, patches, hotfixes, and security configurations.

* Conduct regular network performance tuning and troubleshooting to resolve issues, with a focus on optimizing Fortinet and FortiGate devices.

* Implement and manage network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware using Fortinet and FortiGate solutions.

* Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and IT team members.

* Collaborate with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.

* Maintain accurate and up-to-date network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and policies.

* Identify and implement network improvements to enhance performance, security, and reliability.

* Strong understanding of network infrastructure and architecture.

* Proficiency in configuring and managing network devices (routers, switches, firewalls), Fortinet and FortiGate technologies.

* Experience with network monitoring and analysis tools (e.g., FortiAnalyzer, FortiManager)

* Relevant certifications such as Fortinet Network Security Expert (NSE), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), are desirable.

* Experience with network security and firewall technologies, particularly Fortinet and FortiGate.
