12-month contract
Hybrid working – Manchester/Warwick for meetings.
£450 - £550 p/d (inside IR35)
Our client is a leading engineering company specialising in the design, build, and management of the UK’s critical digital infrastructure, with a strong focus in the transport sector.

They currently require a Project Manager to support with a high-profile project upgrading the Manchester Tram telecommunications network.

Key Objectives:

Ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the customers satisfaction on behalf of the relevant Programme manager.
Ensuring planning/scheduling & coordination of the project ensuring all documentation is correctly maintained in Oracle, UCM, Salesforce & Shared access platforms.
Using best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve customer services.
Producing the financial reports and project performance reports, including managing financial performance through Oracle.
Managing production of Contractual Quality and Health & Safety documentation.
Management of the change control processes, as required.
Assisting in the Contractual and legislative Quality and Health & Safety requirements for all projects.
Always ensuring we adopt a full ownership end-to-end culture from start of contract through project phase to proper handover into mobilisation teams for service.
Reporting project performance (KPIs) to the relevant manager and clients, highlighting and managing all risks & issues and their mitigations throughout the project life cycle.
Day to day support ensuring project team achieves project milestones.
Deliverables:

Office & site-based work to ensure project delivery to quality, safety, and environmental standards, within specified timescales and to budget, in accordance with company and client QSE procedures.
Provide day to day management and direction and support to the Rail Project Delivery Team.
Implementation of PC License and QSE procedures to all assigned projects.
Support bid team as required in responding to ITT requests.
Provide day to day project management support and direction of delivery team.
Carry out regular reviews of assigned projects to monitor performance against agreed KPI`s
Provide regular reports to client and internal stakeholders as required.
Monitor and review quality of project deliverables.
Development and review of overall PM process for the delivery of assigned projects.
Ensure adequate and competent staff are identified and assigned to each project.
Staff Mentoring/promotion of Behavioural Safety
Development of Client relationships in support of securing business and future growth
Management and Implementation of the Contract Review Process
Promote a positive Health and Safety culture.
Experience/Qualifications:

Relevant Engineering experience, in telecoms or related industry.
NEC contract experience
Project Management Experience
Working Knowledge of CDM
Working knowledge of HSAW regulations
QSE risk assessments.
Environmental awareness
