An industry leading manufacturer is seeking an aerospace Level 2 NDT Radiography Technician for an ongoing contract in the West Midlands.

PAYE and Umbrella pay options are available. 37 hours per week with regular overtime paid at enhanced rates both during the week, and at weekends. Travelling contractors can receive additional hourly values to help towards travel and accommodation costs (more than 1.5 hour commute from the site).

Position Summary:
To carry out non-destructive testing (radiography testing) for the company products.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Read and understand work instructions, operating procedures and customer specific requirements
• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of process paperwork and parts control
• To carry out radiography testing of sub-assemblies and complete assemblies
• Ensure all equipment is calibrated and functional
• Find ways to continuously improve processes within department
• To work on own initiative and be part of a team working to achieving on time deliveries
• To be able to work to and understand quality specifications
• Work to strict company health & safety policies
• Possible requirement to work shifts (AM, PM & Nights)

Qualifications:

Essential:
• Previous experience of NDT inspection - Conventional radiography
• EN4179, Radiographic Testing level 2 preferable
• EN4179 / NAS410 PT level 2 essential, RT level 2 preferable
• Be able to demonstrate compliance with ME1200 eyesight requirements.
• General knowledge of precision measuring tools with prior work knowledge/experience in a welding/joining environment
• Be computer literate

Desirable:
• Be able to produce documented and certified previous OJT hours.
• Current Aerospace EN4179/NAS410 or PCN within any additional methods: UT, ET, PT, and MT.
• 3 or more years' experience in a related field in a high production, fast-paced environment.
• Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and technical publications to perform duties in compliance with customer requirements
• General knowledge of precision measuring tools with prior work knowledge/experience in a welding/joining environment

The above is a selection of responsibilities, there may be other tasks not listed that will be expected to support the changing business needs.

This position will involve access to export-controlled information and hardware where an export license would be required for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Employment will be subject to satisfactory security checks, export license approval, and if required, completion of a non-disclosure agreement.
