Location: Sheffield

Pay Rate: £35.000 – £38,000

Job Type: Permanent

Shift Times: Monday to Thursday, 06:30 - 16:15 some flexibility is required for potential offsite/offshore opportunities

Engineering @ 365 is recruiting on behalf of our client based in Sheffield, who are a market leader in their respected field. They are looking for multiple NDT technicians to join their business on a permanent basis due to business expansion.

Job Description:

As a NDT Technician, you will be carrying out ultrasonic inspections and ensure the highest quality standards for our products. This role involves performing a variety of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) operations, providing technical advice, and maintaining compliance with manufacturing standards.

Key Responsibilities:

* Carry out manual ultrasonic inspections on tubes, forgings, or rolled bars to recognised international standards.

* Set up, calibrate, and operate automated ultrasonic equipment for inspecting forged cylinders.

* Provide technical advice on matters related to Non-Destructive Testing (NDT).

* Produce reports for calibration, inspection, and testing carried out on products.

* Perform physical and visual inspections of raw materials, components, and cylinders at key production stages to ensure compliance with manufacturing standards.

* Perform other NDT operations on manufactured products as required.

* Control visiting third-party inspectors and customers in the inspection areas.

* Perform and document first article inspections to support the component qualification process.

* Carry out identification marking of products to ensure traceability throughout their operational lifespan

.Requirements:

* PCN Level 2 in ultrasonics (castings/forgings) and/or ASNT qualified (essential).

* Additional NDT qualifications (desirable).

* experience in a similar inspection role.

* Engineering background.

* Skilled in using various measuring tools such as micrometres, callipers, gauges, etc.

* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
