National Health and Safety Partner

Location: Hybrid - Nationwide Travel

Salary: Circa £60,000 + Car Allowance + Milage + Additional Benefits

We've been engaged by a leading Nationwide Fresh Produce Manufacturer and Distributor to recruit a National Health and Safety Partner. This role is specifically focused on working alongside Operation Managers and the wider HSE Team to drive a positive Health and Safety initiatives throughout the business.

Responsibilities of the National Health and Safety Partner will include:

Ensure sites comply with legal and company health & safety standards, working with management to drive improvements.
Support operational risk and change projects, conduct compliance audits, and promote a culture of risk ownership within the operations teams.
Providing the subject-matter expertise, leadership and coaching to build safety & health capability across the site.
Ensure the site is compliant with UK legislation and in line with the overall UK strategy for Health and Safety.
Engaging with members of staff at all levels across the site to improve awareness and commitment to Health and Safety issues.
Managing a regular audit and inspection programme, assessing Health and Safety performance and identifying any areas of improvement.
Engaging with key internal and external stakeholders including contractors, regulators, and enforcement agencies as required.

The successful National Health and Safety Partner will have:

Proven experience in a similar role ideally within a related Manufacturing, FMCG or Warehousing/distribution environment.
Ideally NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (or working towards) and Membership of IOSH or other relevant professional body.
A strong technical knowledge across relevant health and safety legislation.
An enthusiastic and positive approach to health and safety.
