An excellent opportunity has been made available by my client an established housing provider in the UK. My client has a large portfolio of supported living projects and offers generic housing management and supported housing services.
Vacancy Brief:
* The role is that of a Mutual Exchange Housing Officer; this is an initial 3-to-4-month contract covering sickness.
* This is a full-time role; 37.5 hours a week.
* Monday – Friday 9 – 5 pm (Potential Hybrid working being offered)
* Pay rate for this role is £18.10 per hour on PAYE OR £23.06 Umbrella.
* Based in Norfolk (This role has been identified as suitable for hybrid working which will be a combination of home working and working from the office in Norfolk and travel to other offices)
The Responsibilities:
* The successful candidate for the Housing Officer post will be required to manage and oversee applications from tenants for Mutual Exchanges.
* In your job role as a as a Housing Officer, you will investigate and approve or decline applications for Mutual Exchanges and alterations, adhering to legislation and covenants.
* In your role as a Housing Officer, you will need to provide the Neighbourhood team with all documentation related to Mutual Exchanges in line with the organisation’s procedures and timescales.
* Part of your role as a Housing Officer, you will have an understanding of when planning permission is required.
* As a Housing officer, you will conduct property visits where applicable before approvals for alterations are granted, during the process and once works are completed.
The Right Fit:
* CIH qualification or 5 years of housing experience
* Experience of working within a Customer Services role
* An understanding of the importance of confidentiality and data protection of business information.
* Possess excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with various audiences both in writing and verbally.
* Excellent time management skills, including an ability to prioritise workload and meet targets. Able to work as part of a team and work independently without the need of close supervision.
* Possess a high level of accuracy and attention to detail when recording information.
* Possess good IT skills to include use of Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
