Music Teacher - Oldham - September start
Prospero work closely with a large secondary school in Oldham who are hoping to recruit a qualified and enthusiastic Music Teacher to join their team from September on a temporary basis until they break for summer in July 2025. This role is a full-time position teaching Music to key stage 3 & 4 classes, to be considered for this position, all applicants must hold (QTS) Qualified Teacher Status.
The successful candidate will be able to deliver engaging lessons in music theory & practical, that will motivate & interest the students. You will also mark any work necessary and provide feedback to the students. You will be required to attend departmental meetings and be available for parents evenings when they arise, and you will need to provide exceptional support to students and demonstrate good behaviour and classroom assistant/management at all times, following the school policy.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
QTS, QTLS, PGCE, SCITT or equivalent
Previous experience teaching Music in a UK school
Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, but training can be provided)
Up to date Prevent awareness & FGM training issued in the last 3 years (essential, but training can be provided)
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
Hold Right to Work in the UK on a full time basis
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide a minimum of two professional teaching related references
