Music Teacher - Maternity Cover
Tandridge Area, Surrey | September Start | Full-Time | Fixed-Term
Are you a passionate and inspiring Music Teacher looking for your next opportunity? We are working with a welcoming and well-regarded secondary school in the Tandridge area seeking an enthusiastic Teacher of Music to join their Creative Arts department on a full-time maternity cover basis from September.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious teacher to inspire students through engaging and creative lessons while becoming part of a supportive and collaborative school community.
The Role
Teaching Music across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 experience is advantageous but not essential).
Planning and delivering engaging lessons that inspire a love of music.
Assessing, monitoring and supporting student progress.
Contributing to the wider life of the department, including concerts, performances and extracurricular activities where possible.
Full-time maternity cover commencing in September.
The Ideal Candidate
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Has experience teaching Music within a UK secondary school.
Is an enthusiastic classroom practitioner with excellent subject knowledge.
Can build positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents.
Has high expectations for achievement, behaviour and student engagement.
ECTs and experienced teachers are both encouraged to apply.
