Description:

We are currently recruiting staff for an exciting summer opportunity to work at a world-famous Museum, based in South Kensington in a busy Retail environment.

As Retail Assistant you will be supporting the team with the day to day needs of the shop floor to drive sales and provide a world class customer experience at all times.

This is a temporary position to assist with the summer peak period until September. This position is potentially an ongoing position based on performance.

Please note we will be holding an assessment at the Museum Wednesday 12th June 2024 - training dates will be on Thursday 13th June and Friday 14th June.

You will be expected to have availability for a minimum of 3 shifts per week including weekends throughout the summer period.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Provide world class customer service to every visitor.
To be a brand ambassador for the Museum
To help achieve targets proactively selling and promoting add-ons at the till point.
To help look for and drive sales opportunities on the shop floor through actively approaching customers and demonstrating products.
To support the Museum retail management team by being part of a shop floor team that deliver commercial and operational excellence.
To assist setting up shops in the morning, including starting till sessions, putting in floats and replenishment.
To assist closing shops in the evening, including cashing up tills and tidying of the shop floor.
To follow guidance of the visual merchandising team to maintain shop floor displays and standards.
Maintaining shop floor by assisting with stock deliveries and replenishment throughout the day.
To take responsibility for own time management, shifts, availability to work and attendance through good communication.Role requirements

Educated to 'GCSE' Level standard (or equivalent)
Previous experience of delivering exceptional customer service in a busy environment
Experience of working within a target driven environment
A proactive, hands-on approach to work, with excellent attention to detail
Demonstrable experience of stock replenishment and organisation skills.
Cash handling skills and previous experience of using EPOS systems
Weekend availability
Enthusiastic approach to work.
