Multi-Skilled Operative
Widnes | £14.40 per hour | Weekly Pay | Ongoing Work | Immediate Starts Available
We are currently recruiting for two Multi-Skilled Operatives to join a busy waste and recycling facility in Widnes.
This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced plant operators looking for stable, full-time work with long-term prospects in a fast-paced environment.
We're particularly interested in candidates with experience operating both Loading Shovels and 360 Excavators, although applicants with strong experience in either machine are encouraged to apply.
The Role
As a Multi-Skilled Operative, you'll play a key role in keeping site operations running efficiently and safely.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Operating Loading Shovels and/or 360 Excavators safely and effectively
* Loading, moving and managing waste and recyclable materials across the site
* Feeding processing equipment to maintain productivity
* Carrying out daily pre-start checks and reporting defects
* Maintaining high housekeeping standards
* Following all Health & Safety procedures and site rules
* Supporting the wider operations team as required
What We're Looking For
* Previous experience operating Loading Shovels and/or 360 Excavators
* Relevant and in-date plant qualifications are preferred
* Experience within waste, recycling, aggregates, quarrying or similar industries is advantageous
* Good awareness of Health & Safety practices
* Reliable, hardworking and flexible attitude
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
