Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer

Location: Sutton Coldfield

Salary: £50,000 - £56,000 per annum + Benefits

Shift Pattern: 3 Shift Rotation

Nights: 10pm - 6am (Sunday-Thursday)

PM: 2pm - 10pm (Monday-Friday)

AM: 6am - 2pm (Monday-Friday)

The Company

A well-established and growing manufacturing business based in Sutton Coldfield is looking to recruit a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to strengthen its Engineering team. Operating within a stable industry, the company offers long-term job security and opportunities for development into Team Leader and Supervisor roles.

This opportunity has arisen due to a retirement within their team.

This role is ideal for engineers from FMCG, food, automotive, plastics, packaging, or heavy manufacturing backgrounds.

The Role - Maintenance Engineer

As a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining fast-paced production machinery through both planned and reactive maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)

Responding to reactive breakdowns quickly and effectively

Electrical fault finding on production equipment

Mechanical maintenance including robotics, motors, gearboxes, belts and chains

Working with hydraulics and pneumatics systems

Supporting continuous improvement and lean manufacturing projects

Working collaboratively within a team of skilled engineers

Requirements

Experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment

Multiskilled - both electrical and mechanical maintenance experience

Ability to read electrical drawings and fault find

Level 3 Engineering qualification (or equivalent) preferred

Strong team player with a proactive attitude
