Description:
One of Scotland’s largest and award-winning bakeries based in Glasgow is looking for a dynamic Multiskilled Engineer (ideally with Electrical bias) to join its esteemed team. Along with a salary of up to £50,000 per annum, you will also receive 29 days holiday per year.
You will be working 8 hours per day (or as the reasonable needs of the business require), Sunday-Friday, with one day off during the week. On-call responsibilities are shared among Engineers, and once you are familiar with all machines and systems, you will participate in an alternating early/late shift rota pattern.
As Multiskilled Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
Quickly and effectively fault-finding and resolving issues, minimising production downtime.
Demonstrating strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills both electrically and mechanically.
Delivering high standards of workmanship, safely and carefully maintaining plant assets to OEM condition or better.
Completing regular PPM maintenance duties in accordance with documented procedures.
Undertaking specific electrical and mechanical assignments crucial for the smooth operation of the facility.
We’re looking for a Multiskilled Engineer with the following skills and experience:
A Degree or HND qualification in electrical or electrical and mechanical engineering.
Experience in bakery/food production/other hands-on engineering roles.
Knowledge of PLC-based control systems, electrical fault-finding, and the ability to diagnose faults via PLCs.
A complete understanding of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Familiarity with electrical schematics and understanding of 3-phase and single-phase motors and machines, including testing procedures.
