Multimedia Assistant

Description:

We are looking for an entrty level digital graphic designer to join the multimedia team at DCA - one of the world’s leading product design and development consultancies. This will be located at our offices here in Warwick, West Midlands.
This role will suit a hands on multi-disciplined graphic designer who has experience of publishing web content. We are looking at junior level looking to working in-house within a consultancy.
You’ll be contributing to our projects from the outset, working as part of the DCA team, your role will concentrated around admistrative tasks, media filing, web content, layouts, asset building and implementing consistency across all DCA brand output.

THE PERSON

We are looking for someone who is proactive, enthusiastic and self-motivated, with the ability to work individually and as part of a team. Excellent verbal and written communication skills paired with great interpersonal skills. You will need to have a clear eye for detail and design, and importantly have the passion to learn, furthering your skills.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Skills and Experience with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, this may have been in college/school or on personal projects (Doesnt have to be in the work place).

* A firm grasp of spelling, grammar, meaning and clarity within text

* Have typography skills and strong layout capabilities

* Experience updating websites - possibly Wordpress or similar

* Photoshop - create banners + assets for the website

* Responsive web and email design

* Again, Attention to detail

* Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

* Prioritising briefs and working to deadlines

* Relevant A Level/BTECH or similar further education qualification (Expecting results is fine - WIll suit a 2024 A Level leaver)

DESIRABLE SKILLS

* Digital and Social Media - creation of social media assets, images, gif and animations, website assets, digital advertising assets, e-shots, digital personalised catalogues

* Proof reading experience

* Image Retouching

* Strong portfolio showing creative examples

* Experience of social media and designing social media assets to correct formats and resolution;

* Experience with Spotler would be an advantage (MailChimp or equivalent is similar).

* Having an understanding and familiarity with UX design would be advantageous (Adobe UX, Figma)

* Strong understanding of design trends and best practices and an awareness of its importance in responsive web, mobile and app based design.
