Description:
I am currently recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Carpenter to join our team, working on a council contract to provide reactive maintenance services across a variety of council-owned properties. This is a temporary to permanent position requires a professional with a broad range of carpentry skills, the ability to respond swiftly to maintenance requests, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of other core trades
Key Responsibilities:
Perform a variety of carpentry tasks including repairs, installations, and maintenance on council properties.
Respond promptly to reactive maintenance requests, ensuring timely and efficient resolution of issues.
Carry out repairs on doors, windows, flooring, roofing, partitions, cabinets, and other wooden structures.
Assess and diagnose problems, providing effective solutions to minimize disruption for occupants.
Maintain a high standard of workmanship and ensure all work complies with current building regulations and health and safety standards.
Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently to complete tasks.
Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and team members to ensure a seamless service delivery.
Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
Ensure the work area is clean, organized, and safe at all times.
Provide excellent customer service, addressing any concerns or questions from clients professionally.
Qualifications and Skills:
Proven experience as a Carpenter in a reactive maintenance role.
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry or an equivalent qualification.
Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, repair methods, and installation procedures.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Good physical condition and stamina.
