Location: N7 8HU
Position Type: Temporary, Full-time
Hours: 35 hours per week, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
Rate of Pay: £26.96 per hour (umbrella)
Introduction:
We are currently seeking a skilled and versatile Multi Trader to join our team based in N7 8HU. Reporting to the M&E Service Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out day-to-day repairs, improvements, programmed, and reactive maintenance tasks, ensuring high productivity and adherence to timescales and targets. The role will involve both mechanical and electrical works, in compliance with legislative requirements, council policies, and industry best practices. Additionally, the role will require participation in out-of-hours on-call support on a rotational basis.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform day-to-day repairs, improvements, programmed, and reactive maintenance tasks as directed by the M&E Service Manager.
Ensure all works are carried out to a high standard, in accordance with legislative requirements, council policies, and industry best practices.
Undertake both mechanical and electrical works as necessary, demonstrating proficiency in both areas.
Participate in out-of-hours on-call support, shared with colleagues on a rota basis, to address emergency maintenance issues.
Maintain accurate records of work completed, including job sheets, timesheets, and other relevant documentation.
Collaborate with colleagues and contractors to achieve departmental objectives and deliver high-quality service to stakeholders.
Adhere to health and safety regulations and procedures at all times, prioritizing the safety of oneself and others.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a similar role, with a strong background in maintenance and repair work.
Possession of a full driving license and access to a vehicle is essential.
Ability to provide 5 years of work references and undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
Flexibility to participate in out-of-hours on-call support as required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
Proven ability to work independently, manage workload, and prioritize tasks effectively.
Knowledge of legislative requirements, council policies, and industry best practices related to maintenance works.
Commitment to delivering high-quality service and achieving departmental objectives.
