Working Hours: Monday to Friday, typically 8:00am/9:00am to 5:00pm, with occasional weekend work available

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Multi-Trade Operative to support a large voids and refurbishment programme within social housing properties across Croydon and Greater London.
The successful candidate will be a competent all-rounder with experience across a range of trades and capable of carrying out refurbishment and maintenance works to a high standard. The initial project consists of approximately 60-70 void properties, with further opportunities available across London upon successful completion.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out general property refurbishment and maintenance works.
Complete basic plumbing repairs, including:
Changing taps
Repairing minor leaks
General plumbing maintenance
Undertake basic electrical works, including:
Replacing sockets
Replacing light switches
Minor electrical repairs in line with regulations
Perform carpentry and joinery tasks, including:
Hanging doors
Fitting architraves and skirting
Installing laminate flooring
General lock repairs and replacements
Complete painting and decorating works as required.
Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Liaise with site management regarding materials and project requirements.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.Candidate Requirements
Proven experience as a Multi-Trade Operative.
Strong skills across carpentry, plumbing, decorating and basic electrical works.
Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
Own van and tools preferred.
Full UK Driving Licence.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Experience working within social housing, voids or property refurbishment environments is desirable.Materials & Expenses
Materials will be supplied via company accounts with major suppliers including Howdens, Screwfix and other merchants.
Travel/mileage contributions may be discussed depending on project location and requirements.
Contractors will not be expected to purchase materials using their own funds.Interview Process
