Multi-Trade Operative
Salary: £35,047.58 – £36,597.60 per annum + Company Van
Hours: 40 hours per week
Location: Bournemouth and surrounding towns- mobile role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi-Trade Operative to join a busy repairs and maintenance team, working across properties throughout Bournemouth and Christchurch
This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled tradesperson looking for a varied role where no two days are the same. You will be responsible for carrying out a combination of planned and reactive maintenance, with a strong focus on completing work to a high standard and providing excellent customer service. This position is for a housing association and you will be visiting supported housing and general needs properties.
The Role
As a Multi-Trade Operative, you will undertake a range of repairs and maintenance works across residential properties. You will ideally have a strong background in the trades, with experience across areas such as:
* Plumbing
* Carpentry
* Bathroom fitting
* Kitchen fitting
* Plastering
* Tiling
* Painting and decorating
* General property repairs and maintenance
You will often be working in occupied supported housing properties, so professionalism, communication and a customer-focused approach are essential.
About You
* Has previous experience working in a similar multi-trade or maintenance role
* Happy to work in vulnerable tenants properties
* Is competent in at least plumbing and carpentry
* Has experience across multiple maintenance disciplines
* Can confidently diagnose and resolve a range of property maintenance issues
* Takes pride in delivering a high standard of workmanship
* Has excellent customer service and communication skills
* Is reliable, organised and able to work independently
* Holds a full, current UK driving licence
* Happy to complete a DBS check
* Is comfortable driving a company van and meets insurer requirements
Experience within the social housing, housing association or similar property maintenance environment would be highly desirable.
