We are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi Trade Operative to join a well-established social housing contractor on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term position with a reputable company that offers a competitive salary and a great benefits package.
Working across occupied social housing properties throughout Bedfordshire, you will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of planned and reactive maintenance works while delivering a high standard of workmanship and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out fencing repairs and new fence installations.
Complete basic brickwork repairs.
Undertake painting and decorating works.
Perform carpentry repairs, including:
Skirting board installation and repairs.
Floorboard repairs.
Internal door fitting and adjustments.
Carry out gutter repairs and general external maintenance.
Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales.
Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to all health and safety regulations.
Communicate professionally with tenants and colleagues while providing excellent customer service.
Complete relevant job documentation accurately.
Requirements
Previous experience working as a Multi Trade Operative within social housing, property maintenance, or a similar environment.
Competent across a range of trade disciplines, particularly carpentry, fencing, decorating, and basic brickwork.
Experience working in occupied properties.
Full UK driving licence.
Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
A positive and professional approach to customer service.
