Multi Trade Operative – Plasterer
Location: Guildford, Surrey
Salary: Up to £40,660 per annum, depending on experience
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi Trade Operative to join an established property services contractor delivering a long-term residential maintenance contract across Guildford and the surrounding areas.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson with strong plastering experience and additional knowledge of plumbing, carpentry or general property maintenance.
The Role
You will be responsible for carrying out reactive repairs and maintenance within occupied residential properties, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out plastering and associated repairs to a high standard.
* Undertake general property maintenance and repair works.
* Complete minor plumbing repairs and installations where competent.
* Carry out basic carpentry and joinery repairs.
* Diagnose faults and identify appropriate repair solutions.
* Work independently and as part of a wider maintenance team.
* Use a PDA/mobile system to record and manage completed works.
* Maintain high standards of health & safety, workmanship and customer service.
* Communicate professionally with residents and customers.
Requirements
* Strong plastering skills, ideally supported by an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.
* Multi-trade experience across areas such as plumbing, carpentry and general maintenance.
* Previous experience working within occupied/tenanted residential properties.
* Good fault-finding and problem-solving ability.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
* NVQ or City & Guilds Level 2 minimum.
* Comfortable using a PDA or mobile technology.
* Clean, valid UK driving licence.
* Willingness to undertake a DBS check.
* Right to work in the UK.
