Multi-Trade Joiner

Description:

We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in South Manchester, who are recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Joiner on a six-to-eight-week contract.

The position is due to start immediately, with the potential to go full time. The hourly rate of pay is negotiable up to £23 CIS via an Umbrella company.

Ideal candidate will have proven experience delivering high-quality carpentry and multi-trade repairs within social housing properties, with the ability to work independently, provide excellent customer service and achieve first-time fixes across tenanted and void homes.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

* Carrying out responsive and planned carpentry repairs within tenanted and void social housing properties

* Installing, repairing and maintaining doors, frames, locks, kitchens, skirting boards and architraves

* Completing basic multi-trade works including plumbing, tiling, patch plastering and general maintenance tasks

* Diagnosing faults and identifying appropriate repairs solutions

* Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with health and safety regulations

* Liaising with tenants and housing officers to provide an excellent customer service experience

* Managing materials and maintaining accurate records of completed works

* Achieving first-time fixes and meeting agreed service level targets and timescales

Experience required:

* Proven experience carrying out carpentry repairs and maintenance within social housing, domestic or commercial properties

* Experience working in tenanted and void properties within a responsive repairs environment

* Strong knowledge of first and second fix carpentry, including doors, kitchens, skirting, architraves and lock changes

* Ability to undertake additional multi-trade works such as basic plumbing, tiling and patch plastering
