Gap Personnel who are operating as an employment business are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for Multi-Skilled Operator for a company based in St. Helens area.
This is a permanent position from day one.
PURPOSE OF JOB
To manufacture the full range of products at construction sites around the UK. Carry out fault finding, repairs, and planned maintenance work on machinery and equipment. Supervise contractors carrying out work for the company. Candidates will be expected to travel around the UK and work on construction sites. This will be on a rota basis (2 weeks out and the 3rd week based at Haydock).
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITY
* Manufacture company products at contractor sites anywhere in the UK in accordance with regulations and site requirements.
* Meet customer requirements by providing a safe, professional, quality driven, flexible, and reliable service.
* Take a proactive, self-sufficient, independent, and self-governing approach to meet all requirements of the role.
* Maintain close continuous liaison with external and internal customers.
* Set and operate site rolling machinery and equipment in accordance with safety, quality, and output standards.
* Assemble and load OSC cassettes in accordance with safety, quality, and output standards using all necessary machinery and equipment.
* Manufacture fabricated components for OSC cassettes in accordance with safety, quality, and output standards, using all necessary machinery and equipment.
* Fault finding, repairs and routine maintenance work for all company machinery and equipment.
* Work flexible hours as required to meet customer demand.
* Complete all documentation fully, accurately, and on time.
* Utilise/supervise contract labour to meet company/customer requirements in a safe, efficient manner and in line with all quality and output requirements.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
* Fully trained and experienced in the setting and operation of all necessary machinery and equipment.
* CSCS and CPCS qualified (red or blue)
* Mechanical and Electrical knowledge/skills/experience/qualifications
* Supervisory knowledge/skills/experience/qualifications
* Full clean driving licence
* Counterbalance Forklift truck licence
* Fully trained in company safety, health, and quality procedures
* Practical knowledge and experience of the company system product range and of it’s installation requirements on construction sites
* Knowledge/experience of construction site Health & Safety rules and regulations
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (i.e. OSC, fabrications, company curves)
* Comfortable with working at height and in all weather conditions
SALARY
* 30 000 – 32 000 per annum dependent on experience
* Salary includes onsite payment, working additional hours as required Monday to Friday and taking time off in lieu for working weekends/Bank Holidays if required.
* In addition, travel, accommodation, and subsistence costs will be met by the company on the basis of compliance with the company standards.
