Multi Skilled Operative – Waste Management
Location: Rotherham S63
Pay Rate: £17.47 per hour
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off
Working Hours: 07:00–17:00
Overtime: Available subject to business needs
Start Date: Immediate starts preferred
The Role
Our client, a leading name in the waste management industry, is urgently seeking an experienced Multi Skilled Operative to join their growing team in Rotherham.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a reliable and skilled operative to secure ongoing work with a reputable employer within a busy waste management and recycling environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Safely operate site machinery and equipment for the processing and loading of recyclable materials.
* Carry out daily equipment and machinery checks.
* Report any defects, damage or maintenance requirements promptly.
* Ensure waste and recyclable materials are loaded correctly and safely.
* Assist with the efficient movement and processing of materials across the site.
* Promptly clear any spillages and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
* Operate machinery and equipment with care, diligence and attention to safety.
* Follow all site rules, company procedures and health & safety protocols.
* Work effectively as part of a team to maintain efficient site operations.
Essential Requirements
* Previous experience working as a Multi Skilled Operative within waste management, recycling, manufacturing, construction or a similar environment.
* Experience operating mobile plant or site machinery is highly desirable.
* Relevant plant/machinery licenses or tickets are advantageous.
* Good level of spoken and written English.
* Strong understanding of health & safety procedures.
* Ability to follow instructions and work safely within a busy operational environment.
* Reliable, hardworking and safety-conscious.
* Immediate availability preferred.
Pay & Benefits
