Astute's Renewables team is partnering with a leading industrial processing business to recruit a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer for its site in Chipping Campden.

The Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer role comes with a salary of £45,000 - £50,000 DOE, a £460 per week standby allowance (1 week in 4), and the opportunity to join a growing engineering team responsible for maintaining highly automated plant equipment.

Responsibilities and duties of the Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer role

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager you will:

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown repairs across a range of industrial plant and machinery.
Diagnose and repair both electrical and mechanical faults, ensuring maximum equipment uptime.
Fault-find and troubleshoot PLCs, sensors, instrumentation, control systems and associated automation equipment.
Maintain and repair three-phase electrical systems, motors, drives, switchgear, relays and control panels.
Repair and overhaul mechanical equipment including conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, hydraulics, pneumatics and valves.
Complete maintenance records accurately using the site's CMMS system.
Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely, following Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures and company health & safety standards.
Support continuous improvement projects by identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability and performance.
Participate in the on-call rota (1 week in every 4), responding to site breakdowns when required.

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

Recognised engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, BTEC, HNC/HND or equivalent).
Strong multi-skilled maintenance experience with both mechanical and electrical competency.
18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
Experience fault-finding on PLC-controlled machinery and automated production equipment.
Previous experience within manufacturing, processing, FMCG, automated warehousing or heavy industrial environments.
BS2391 Inspection & Testing and COMPEX qualifications would be advantageous but are not essential.
