Senior Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (4 Positions)

Salary: Up to £58,000 per annum

Due to continued growth and an expansion of the Engineering function, our client is looking to recruit 4 Senior Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers to join their maintenance team at a modern, high-volume food manufacturing facility.

These are key positions responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and continuously improving a wide range of production equipment to maximise reliability, efficiency and operational performance. Working closely with Production and Operations, you'll provide advanced technical support, lead complex fault-finding activities, drive continuous improvement initiatives and play a key role in reducing downtime across the site.

The Role

* Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across a wide range of production equipment.

* Diagnose and repair complex electrical and mechanical faults while supporting continuous improvement projects to improve reliability and efficiency.

* Work closely with Production and Operations teams to minimise downtime, maximise equipment availability and support production targets.

* Maintain accurate maintenance records, PPM schedules and asset information using a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

* Promote engineering best practice and contribute to ongoing improvements across the maintenance function.

What We're Looking For

Essential Qualifications

* Apprentice-trained/time-served Engineer, or qualified to City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical or Multi-Skilled Engineering.

* Food Safety Level 2 qualification.

* Current Edition of the IET Wiring Regulations (City & Guilds Level 3).

Essential Experience & Knowledge

* Extensive maintenance engineering experience within food manufacturing, FMCG or another highly automated production environment.

* Advanced electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills, with experience of robotics, PLCs, automation systems, process control equipment and advanced manufacturing machinery.

* Proven experience maintaining and repairing conveyors, motors, pumps, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and packaging machinery.

* Experience using a CMMS for planned maintenance, asset management, work order control, maintenance reporting and engineering performance analysis.

* A proven track record of reducing downtime, improving equipment reliability and driving operational performance.

Desirable

* Experience within food packing, high-care food manufacturing or other regulated production environments.

* Knowledge of condition-based monitoring, reliability-centred maintenance and Shire CMMS.
