Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer

Talent Guardian is recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing FMCG manufacturer in Knighton for an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy engineering department within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You'll help keep production and site equipment operating reliably through planned maintenance, effective fault-finding and a rapid response to breakdowns.
What you'll be doing

Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across a wide range of production and site equipment.
Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and complete effective repairs.
Respond quickly to breakdowns and minimise production downtime.
Work closely with production teams to improve equipment reliability and performance.
Support continuous improvement projects across the manufacturing site.
Maintain accurate maintenance records using the CMMS.
Ensure all work complies with site health, safety and engineering procedures.
Identify recurring faults and recommend long-term improvements. What we're looking for

A time-served engineer with a minimum Level 3 qualification in an engineering discipline.
Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance capabilities.
Previous engineering experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Confident fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
A proactive and hands-on approach to maintenance.
The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of an engineering team.
PLC fault-finding and interrogation experience would be advantageous.
Experience within FMCG manufacturing would be beneficial. Hours
You'll work a 4-on, 4-off shift pattern, rotating between:

6:00am-6:00pm
6:00pm-6:00am The shift rotates between days and nights every two blocks.
