Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Hours & Shift Pattern
Full time on a rotating shift pattern covering days, nights and weekends, with overtime available when required.
The Company
We are recruiting for a well established FMCG manufacturer running fast paced production lines to strict food safety standards. The business is committed to quality, safety and continuous improvement, and values engineers who take ownership of their plant. They are looking for a capable all round engineer who wants to keep the lines running and fix problems for good.
The Role
You will join the site maintenance team providing electrical and mechanical support across the production equipment.
Key responsibilities include:
* Fault finding and repairing electrical and mechanical breakdowns on production machinery
* Delivering planned preventative and reactive maintenance
* Responding quickly to breakdowns to minimise line downtime
* Leading or supporting changeovers, CIP and equipment set ups
* Investigating repeat faults and putting lasting fixes in place
* Keeping maintenance records, breakdown reports and schedules accurate on the CMMS
* Supporting colleagues through coaching and clear shift handovers
This is a hands on role for an engineer who takes pride in reliable plant and a well run shift.
What We Are Looking For
* Strong electrical and mechanical fault finding skills
* Level 3 qualification in engineering or a recognised trade, or equivalent
* At least 5 years' experience maintaining manufacturing machinery
* Experience of both planned and reactive maintenance
* Able to read technical documents and engineering drawings
* Experience using a computerised maintenance management system (CMMS)
* Calm under pressure, a sound problem solver and a good team player
* Flexible with rotating shifts, weekends and overtime
Desirable
FMCG, food or beverage manufacturing experience; CIP and changeover experience.
