Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Salary: £50,000

Shift Pattern: 4-Week Rotating Rota | 40 Hours Per Week
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established FMCG manufacturing business based in Kent.
This is a varied engineering position within a fast-paced production environment, where you will be responsible for maintaining and improving a range of production machinery and equipment, ensuring maximum plant availability and minimising downtime.
The Role
Working as part of the engineering team, you will be responsible for:
Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across production machinery and equipment.
Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults.
Supporting continuous improvement and machinery reliability.
Responding quickly to breakdowns to minimise production downtime.
Completing preventative maintenance and engineering documentation.
Working closely with production and other departments to maintain efficient plant operation.
Maintaining high standards of health, safety and engineering compliance.
Shift Pattern
The role operates on a 4-week rotating rota, working 40 hours per week:
Week 1: Monday-Friday, 5:30am-2:00pm
Week 2: Monday-Friday, 1:30pm-10:00pm
Week 3: 5:30am-2:00pm, with Thursday & Friday off and weekend working
Week 4: Monday-Friday, 1:30pm-10:00pm
About You
Essential:
Previous experience as a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer or similar.
Strong FMCG/manufacturing experience.
Confident fault-finding across mechanical and electrical systems.
Comfortable working within a fast-paced production environment.
Flexible approach to shift working.Desirable:
Previous experience within the food manufacturing sector.
Relevant engineering qualifications such as NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND or equivalent.
